Paper Mache Masks Using Rigid Wrap
casting Paper Mache

About
I made these masks using a plastic mask from the craft store as my base or armature. I used ridgid wrap, which is like a casting material form of paper mache and covered the masks with that and used a clear varnish to seal it with. Then I went to town and had a fun time just experimenting with different types of media and acrylic paints. Lots of embellishments here! I sprayed a finishing spray on top and viola!
To display, you could hang with wire.
You can find ridgid wrap in craft stores in the paper mache area...for around $5, and the masks for about $2.
The longest part of this project was actually decorating it.
