How to make fortune cookies out of paper/great idea!

You Will Need

    Step 1

    Choose a color you want your fortune cookie to be and get that color construction paper. I chose pink :) Draw a reasonably sized circle on it, and cut it out.

    Now, fold the circle in half (without making a crease) so it sort of looks like a taco lol

    Fold the taco shaped paper in half like shown with your index finger.

    After folding it completely, it should look like this

    Add a bit of glue near the crease of the fold and fold it again, just so the shape stays.

    (described bad, but can be seen in the image!:D )

    Now start to work on the fortune cookie note.

    for this, just cut out a strip of white paper

    Write a little note on the paper you cut out!

    I made a few of these. The one in the tutorial is for my mom so I wrote "love you princess" but I also made five for my bf and each one had a different word from the phrase "love you forever and always." You can get really creative and sweet and you don't have to reserve this for valentines day :)

    Add a dab of glue to the written side of the white paper then place it inside the cookie.

    Allow the fortune to dry in the cookie and it should look like this!

    Just to spruce it up, I bought a little pink chinese takeout box from my local arts and crafts store, put some shredded paper in it and placed the paper cookie on top.

    I decorated the outside of the box a little and viola! a great valentines day gift! I attached some images of the one I did for my boyfriend so you can feel more inspired if youre doing something for your sweetheart <3
