make paper decorations that you can hang from the ceiling :)
My aunt first taught me how to make these and I thought it was a really cool and creative way to reuse or recycle old scraps of paper :]

    Step 1

    Step 1:

    Cut paper into strips of three of any length.

    * keep the width fairly small
    ** shorter pieces are harder to work with

    Punch holes at the end of each strip of paper

    *make sure the holes are in the middle

    Place the cut and hole-punched strips into a 'snowflake' form

    Gather all the strips at the top starting from the bottom strip

    Place the clasp / brad through the hole and tighten / close it

    Punch a hole on the other end of the paper ball and place the brad through it

    Step 7:

    Put a string through the clasp and hang anywhere!

    * i hung mine on the ceiling of my room and it looks pretty cool :P

Those are very pretty!!! I want to make them! But I don´t understand step 6. Whats the longish metal thing in the middle?
