With just paper and double-sided tape, it’s surprisingly easy to make a paper bag or packet. This paper bag with a base is made so well it looks just like something from a store! Try using recycled wrapping paper, attractive printed materials or photocopied fabric to create original paper bags.

Fold in 3⁄8 in (1cm) of right edge of paper to create a narrow margin fold.
Fold in right side of paper along the width, bringing it to the center. Stick double- sided tape to margin fold.
Fold in left side along the width of paper to overlap by 3⁄8 in (1cm) at center. Fold over right side and stick down.
Fold up bottom edge by 3⁄8 in (1cm).
Trim off the corners of the flap and the inner edge of the flap (the side that will stick to the body of the packet).
Attach double-sided tape to entire flap. Fold over and stick into place.
