Indo-Chinese Cottage Cheese Recipe. (you can substitute the cottage cheese for tofu)
For the paneer:
-> Combine all the "for batter" ingredients together and make a batter with 3-4 table spoons of water.
-> Boil 2 cups of water and add the frozen paneer to it. Let it sit for 3 minutes. Remove from the water and toss into the batter. Coat well.
-> Deep fry till golden brown and set aside on paper towels.
For the sauce:
-> Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté ginger, garlic and green chili for 1 minute on high heat.
->Add the onions, sauté for 2 minutes.
-> Add all the sauces and salt. Mix well.
-> Thicken the sauce with cornflour-water mixture.
-> Toss in the fried paneer, mix well and serve hot.
