Materials:
- Black Polymer Clay
- White Polymer Clay
- Metal Paperclip
-
Tools:
- Blade
- Dotting Tool
Steps (11 steps, 30 minutes)
-
1
Make a ball using white polymer clay and form it into a flat oval shape approximately 7mm (¼in) thick and 20mm (¾in) wide.
-
2
Cut a shallow opening at the base of the oval using a blade.
-
3
Push the top of a metal paperclip into the opening and reform the oval around it so the paperclip is secure.
-
4
Then make two even balls using black clay. Flatten these on your work surface to create discs that are approximately 7mm (¼in) wide.
-
5
Cut a small portion off the bottom of both black discs to allow you to attach them more easily to the white shape. These will be the ears.
-
6
Press the ears gently onto the top of the oval shape to create the panda’s head.
-
7
Take some more black clay and create two small even balls and flatten them into ovals.
-
8
Press the ovals onto the front of the panda head.
-
9
Then flatten a small ball of white clay inside the black ovals.
-
10
Add a face to the panda head, putting the eyes in the white circles you just created.
-
11
Bake and allow to cool before use.
