I have painted pumpkins for many years. There are many sites on the internet displaying a variety of patterns. First paint a coat of varathane [varnish] which helps to preserve the life of the pumpkin. I used acrylic paint from the dollar store. Allow the paint to dry before applying a second coat if needed. Add your own touch of whimsy. They can be placed outside under protection.
