This is my personal painted case. It's a piece of Lunartik/Naruto fanart.
First you need to get your hands on paints. I used Montana paint pens but any acrylic pens will do.
Next you should lightly sketch the design you want onto your case. A white case makes this easier, if you're case isn't white you may have to paint a base so you're colours are nice and clear.
Time to paint! Start with the darker colours and then build the lighter ones on top of this, make sure it looks good shut. If you want to define the art then you can simply outline details with a sharpie.
Final step ... Varnish! A spray is best, I use prismacolor clear varnish but you can experiment with anything reallyM
