So I love these owl necklaces I see everywhere, but some are too expensive, or not exactly what I want or whatever the reason I just decided to make my own version and I think it came out rather well :D
So I love these owl necklaces I see everywhere, but some are too expensive, or not exactly what I want or whatever the reason I just decided to make my own version and I think it came out rather well :D
So my necklace is suppose to be a variation that is simple made in a way like this one.
First I took one of those round aluminum mirror pieces I have that I bought from a hardware store and bent it just a little less than half. Make sure you don't press it closed to much you want to be able to get a chain through the gap.
Then take any pendant like beads, googly eyes, or whatever you want depending on your style for the eyes. I'm not sure what mine are I've had them forever, but I'm sure they were from Michael's Store forever ago.
Place them on the aluminum piece and glue them on. I used super glue. In the picture it shows I used a hot glue gun, no....don't do that doesn't work well.
Make a loop with your wire or use your jump rings to connect your connectors to the pendant pieces. So make sure there is a way for you to do that, or drill holes in the aluminum pieces so you can get it started. I used wire for my first connector because I wanted to to be closer to the eyes
When you connect it your fist one should look something like this.
Then use your jump rings to keep connecting your connectors until you've used them all to your own preference in length and size :D I have a small one with little rhinestones on it for the end piece just to tie it all together. At least in my mind lol
Then just run your chain through the bent aluminum mirror piece like me, drill holes, or connect it to the eyes and voila'! done.
