Owl Hat!

Hoot hoot... this hat is cute!
This is my original design for an Owl Hat! I was commissioned to make this piece by a co-worker wanting a nice birthday present for his girlfriend. It's a horned owl, and I think it turned out really great! Yet again, not a stellar photograph. It's hit or miss with my cell phone camera. :|

Crocheted, then felt patches were sewn on with embroidery thread. I don't have a mannequin head to model the hat on, so basically I just shaped it to look like what it would if it were being worn. Otherwise, it's flat and rectangular (see my other animal hats).

I hope you like it... making it was a "hoot"!
