Stretch bracelets are quick and easy to put together, making them a great place for a beginner jewellery-maker to start out.
This one has a little variation to make it more interesting - it's a multi strand bracelet. Make one in your favourite colour - it's a great way to use up mismatched beads.

    Cut four 12" (30cm) lengths of Stretch Magic.

    Insert the end of one piece into a bead stopper.

    String a large orchid bead and an assortment of purple beads until it measures approximately 2.5" (65mm) from the bead stopper.

    String another orchid bead followed by a selection of purple beads. Repeat once more. The beads should measure approximately 7.5" (19cm) in length. If you need a longer or shorter bracelet, adjust the number of purple beads between each orchid bead.

    Remove the bead stopper and tie a surgeon's knot to secure the strand.

    Replace the bead stopper to keep the cord ends out of the way whilst you continue working.

    Place a bead stopper on a second length of Stretch Magic. Insert the other end through the next orchid bead.

    String an assortment of purple beads the same length as on the other cord. Insert the Stretch Magic through the next orchid bead. Continue adding beads and threading through orchid beads until you return to the bead stopper. Remove it and tie a surgeon's knot.

    Repeat with the third and fourth lengths of Stretch Magic.

    Once all the strands have been strung, tighten all the knots again.

    Dab the GS-Hypo Cement on each knot and set aside to dry.

    Trim the ends to 1/4" (6mm).

    Slide each knot inside the nearest orchid bead to hide it.

    To wear your bracelet, roll it onto your wrist rather than stretching it to go over your hand. This will help to reduce stretching over time.
