Olive, feta & caper waffles topped with smoked salmon & cream cheese

These were the ultimate savoury breakfast waffles. I chopped feta, capers and black olives into the batter which gave a delicious salty taste to the waffles which went perfectly with the smoked salmon and cream cheese on top.

You Will Need (16 things)

For the waffles
- 130 g Flour
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 Egg
- 8 floz Soya Milk
- 75 g Feta Cheese
- 10 Black Olives
- 4 tbsp Capers

- Smoked Salmon
- Cream Cheese
- Salt
- Pepper
- Dried Herbs
Steps (5 steps, 15 minutes)

Make a basic waffle batter by whisking together the flour, baking powder, salt, vegetable oil, egg and soya milk.

Chop up the olives.

Crumble the feta into the batter and stir in the olives and capers.

Cook each waffle for about 5 minutes in a waffle iron until golden.

Serve with smoked salmon, a dollop of cream cheese, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with herbs.
