Old Fashioned Cake

Single serve!!! :)

https://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/old-fashioned-cake • Posted by Constance R.

Found in an old recipe box in my attic. Very good, simple, nothing fancy and honestly it's not a perfect recipe but it makes a nice fluffy cake for those times when you REALLY NEED A CAKE. :) Lots of variations, if you want chocolate add cocoa powder, you can add flavorings like peppermint, lemon, cinnamon, etc. Add candies, chocolates, nuts, colors, sprinkles ANYTHING!! My favorite is Lemon and poppy! So good. To cook IN, i use a pyrex container, glass NEVER use plastic. You can use muffin tins, anything really, just make sure it's oven safe, you can grease it if you want. Ok, Ingredients below because that stupid thingy makes me need a cake. Cheerio!!! :) Ingredients: 1/2 cup sugar (any kind) 2 Tbsp butter 1 egg 1/2 cup milk 1/8 tsp salt 1 cup flour 2 tsp Baking powder Flavoring Other goodies!!!

Instructions

  1. Combine butter and sugar, add egg, add milk, salt, baking powder, flour and other ingredients. Bake in a 350 F/ 175 C oven for 10-15 min. It might get a bit brown on top, but make sure it's done. Remove or don't you can eat right out of whatever you baked it in, it is single serve after all. Frost if you want to and... Enjoy!!
