Old Clothes = New Quilt

A Quilt for mum this Xmas '09
So my mum really likes the colour red and she asked for something to throw over her lap when she watches tv.

Ive never made a quilt before

I had no pattern, i jst did what i thought you were supposed to do when you make a quilt , haha

everything except for the wadding is recycled and from the op-shop

the backing is a "throw"
striped fabric is an old pillow case as well as the centre shiny purple piecem you cant see but it has a really cool paisly embroidery design on it

umm the rest is shirts, blouses, pants, etc

im really happy with how it turned out, hope mum likes it :D

i put so so difficulty cus its not as easy as i thought to get the seams to all line up so all the sqaures would be aligned. (did that make sense? lol)
