Pretty and durable tote
I made this tote bag as part of a birthday present for my mom. I wanted an outer fabric that would be easy to clean and more durable than cotton. The liner is a natural color canvas. I made the strap from three strips of canvas and braided them together, then sewed on a tube of oilcloth in the middle.
The oilcloth is a bit more difficult to work with than I expected, as it tends to crinkle and is difficult to pull through itself to turn the piece right-side-out.
