Instructions

  1. Small octopus body 1247294666

Draw and cut out four of the shape in your chosen fabric. I made mine out of "pirate green" acrylic felt. Be aware my plushie was hand sewn, but I'm sure you could do it with a sewing machine.

  2. Small octopus eye 1247294712

Add facial details to one of the panels. Make sure you use the pointy end as the top. This is what I used for my eyes.

  3. Small octopus mouth 1247294746

This is the shape I used for the mouth.

  4. Small octopus bodysewn 1247295549

Sew the curved sides to one another, making a dome shape. Don't sew the straight sides AT ALL right now.

  5. Cut out a circle shape that will fit the bottom of your dome. I pretty much improvised this, which is why the bottom looks as rough as it does. Leave a space to put in stuffing.

  6. Small octopus legs 1247294805

Cut out sixteen of the following shapes. I did mine in a combination of patterned cotton fabric and blue felt. Add any details (such as fabric or sequins for your octopus' suckers) now. Sew one end and both sides then stuff.

  7. Small dscf5154 1247295044

Attach the legs to the bottom of your octopus' body.

  8. Small octopus02 1247295207

Stuff your octopus' body and sew up the gap. You have a brand new octopus!
