A brief guide to making the Octastring block. A great way to use up scrap fabric strips and make a quilt to treasure. Each block takes around an hour to complete not including the preparation of the fabrics. PDF of tutorial is attached.

You will need

Eight 5" squares of fabric Two 1" WOF strips of solid Fabric Selection of print fabric strips 1", 1 1/2", 1 3/4" and 2" wide by at least 5" for the square bloacks and by at least 8" for the diagonal blocks 5" square of feature fabric for centre of Octastring block
