You can add orange zest to the mixture if you like. The flavour
of oranges works very well with NUTELLA®.

  • Step 1

    Using a spatula, vigorously beat the butter with the icing/confectioner's sugar in a bowl for 2 minutes. Add the flour, mix well, then add the egg whites, one at a time, until the mixture is smooth. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F/Gas 6). Using a tablespoon, place small amounts of the mixture on a baking sheet covered with baking parchment, then flatten slightly to make circles approximately 6 cm (2½ in) in diameter. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven, leave to cool for a few moments, then carefully peel away the baking parchment. Immediately roll each circle up into cigars and leave to harden.

  • Step 3

    Melt the NUTELLA® in a bain-marie or in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. Dip the end of each cigar in the NUTELLA® and place on a dish. Refrigerate for a few minutes until the NUTELLA® has hardened, then remove from the refrigerator and serve immediately.
