I cannot tell you how many times I have actually talked myself out of a workout because I didn’t have enough clean accessible workout-friendly clothing in my drawers at the time. Luckily I’ve got someone who constantly nags me to do things with her, and so to stop her incessant harpies cry I succumbed to her desire to make racer back workout tanks out of our conjoined plethora of over sized T-shirts.

Instructions

  1. Small 108989 2f2015 05 20 131608 img 6315

Literally all you need for this project is a large shirt and some cutting utensils. You could just rip the shirt apart if you feel like channeling your inner He Man, but I’d advise against it.

  2. Small 108989 2f2015 05 20 131610 img 6317

Chop off the sleeves and collar, then make fold it in half so that you can see through the arm holes and take out circular chunks around the would be collar.

If you want you can cut into the sides to give yourself more breathing room, but I left it as is. Then just, using a scrap of cloth from a section you’ve already trimmed, tie the back of your shirt together through the arm holes and make a bow. This is what gives it the racer back quality.

Then you’re done and you can hit the gym to get pump swole. For more info: https://theyearlingblog.wordpress.com/2015/05/18/day-138-racer-back-tank-from-an-oversized-t-shirt/
