Description

For this project I used a handkerchief, but this purse can be made on a much larger scale with any lightweight fabric so long as it's in the shape of a square.

Instructions

  1. Small 1 fold 1249999387

Fold your handkerchief or square fabric in half, corner to corner, with right sides facing together.

  2. Small 2 first knot 1249999455

Forming a ring with your index finger and thumb, slide down one corner about halfway to the middle. Tie a knot at this point.

  3. Small 3 second knot 1249999553

Repeat step 2 on the other side.

  4. Small 4 right side out 1249999589

Separate the top corners and turn the whole thing inside out. You will have a sort of pouch shaped like a teardrop.

  5. Small 5 handle knot 1249999645

Now tie the top corners together using a double knot as close to the ends as you can.

  6. Small 6 finished 1249999685

    Enjoy your Purse!

  7. Small 6b twisted handles 1249999725

Or if you'd rather more defined handles, take the top corners and twist them a few times before tying together.
