Revamp that old, dusty piece of thrift store furniture and give it the face lift that it needs. This project is perfect for the home DIY intimidated (which would include myself). If I can do it, ANYONE can!
Get yourself whatever piece of wood furniture that you want. In this case- a headboard. Clean it off real nice. I used a few Lysol wipes.
Paint a coat of primer and let dry. Patience is necessary in this project. And if you're smart, repeat this step once, maybe twice. I was not. And ended up paying the price in the end (with 4 coats of paint). I was recommended the Pittsburgh Paints Univeral Sealgrip 100% Acrylic Primer by a lovely gentleman (who used to be a commercial painter) at Menards.
Paint a coat of your desired paint color and let dry. Repeat until you get the desired amount of coverage. I was also recommended, by the same gentleman, to use Grand Distinction Interior Latex Semi-Gloss Enamel paint from Pittsburgh Paints for my paint color. So I did.
Admire your handywork. You deserve it, it turned out real nice. AND you didn't even have to touch a power tool!
