I love making toys for my cats. We grow our own cat nip so we always have some dried on hand. I like to find tiny stuffed animals at thrift stores (especially if they are sea food related) and use them for my cats. As a bonus, my daughter loves them, too.

Using a seam ripper, gently pull out about a half inch of stitching in an inconspicuous part of your animal.
Pull out a small portion of the toy's stuffing.
Replace the stuffing you pulled out with dried, crumbled cat nip and stitch back up.
