Strong little fighters
Every year I crochet theme hat for the babies in the nicu but this year I wanted to make them their first costume so I crocheted baby super hero capes small enough to cover their tiny bodies but not too big to overwhelm them. I left them blank this way their families can decorate them however they like.

Row 1- hdc in each chain (16), ch & turn
Row 2- hdc in each (16), ch & turn
Row 3- hdc inc, hdc in each, in last st do hdc inc (18) ch & turn
Row 4- hdc in each (18), ch & turn
Row 5- hdc inc, hdc in each, in last st do hdc inc (20), ch & turn
Row 6- hdc in each (20), ch & turn
Row 7- hdc in each (20), ch & turn
Row 8- hdc inc, hdc in each, in last st do hdc inc (22), ch & turn
Row 9- hdc in each (22), ch & turn
Row 10- hdc in each (22), ch & turn
Row 11- hdc in each (22), ch & turn
Row 12- hdc inc, hdc in each, in last st do hdc inc (24), ch & turn
Row 13- hdc in each (24), ch & turn
Row 14- hdc in each (24), ch & turn
Row 15- hdc in each (24), ch & turn

This way the families have fun designing their own heros
So they know it doesn’t have to be all that bad in the nicu during the holidays.
