Great idea, but it'd be bad to wear it and go out on a rainy day XD

You need to use at least three layers of paper and to make the straps more stable, fold them in to 1 inch pleats and braid them. As for tape. Duct tape all the way.

really pretty dress if you don't want it to rip layer some duck tape or even regular tape under the paper it'll make it stronger.

tis must me great for patternmaking...you just have to cut it carefully off your body e voila: perfect pattern!

this is a really neat concept. i bet if you covered the pattern pieces in clear packing tape it would keep it from ripping and you may be able to wear something like that to a party or event of some sort. you could also do the "seams" in a colored duct tape or something of the like to make it pop.

so lovely your dress,Maby an solution: when you will weare it you must use or more clear tape or more clue and much more layers of newspaper, and work on a mannequin its working much better, we did this on the art academy on that methode so we could use it later on still.
hope this will help the others and you too;-D

I made one, and I laminated my newspaper so it won't rip! I'll post it as a version when I find an excuse to wear it, but until then I'm not tapingthe back.

I love this design, especially the skirt part! I think it would also work with fused plastic bags, which would be less rippy.

Ahaha that's cool. At work for Earth Day every year we have to dress up in 'recycled' clothing. I'm definitely trying this next year Happy
