This was a birthday present for my best friend. I didn't turn out as good as I expected it to be, which is probably because I'm not much of a painter, but I wanted to share it with you anyway to give you some inspiration. It's possible that this takes much longer than ten hours, if you have to paint the drawers three or four times, but on a sunny day they will dry very fast.

Description

This was a birthday present for my best friend. I didn't turn out as good as I expected it to be, which is probably because I'm not much of a painter, but I wanted to share it with you anyway to give you some inspiration. It's possible that this takes much longer than ten hours, if you have to paint the drawers three or four times, but on a sunny day they will dry very fast.

Instructions

  1. Small 110232 2f2015 08 03 100759 dscf2594

Take an shelf with square drawers and clean it at first. This step may be optional, if your shelf wasn’t in the cellar for an unknown number of years.

  2. Remove the drawers. Paint four of them with the dark red colour. You can also use brown, if you prefer that. It should look like a brick. Also paint the bottom and the inside of the boxes. Take the other two now and paint them yellow. If the colour of your drawers is a darker one (like the blue of mine), just paint the front yellow and the rest of it like the others in red. Let all of them dry.

  3. Use a smaller brush now and add the design of a brick wall to the red ones. Then paint the corner points and the question mark on the yellow ones. These are the item boxes now. Let everything dry again and after that you're done!
