All my necklaces were piled onto one hook and I would completely forget about some of them because they weren't easily visible, so I thought of this nifty little creation to display all of my necklaces and also keep them from getting awfully tangled.

You Will Need (4 things)

  • 1 Hot Glue Gun
  • 1 can of Spray Paint
  • 1 large collage type Picture Frame (an old one that had the glass cracked works good)
  • 3 small plastic or aluminum Rod (can be found at Home Depot for less than $1 each)

Steps (6 steps, 90 minutes)

  1. 1

Take a collage type photo frame (or smaller if you wish to hang bracelets or some other type of jewelry on it) and remove everything so that you are left with JUST the frame

  2. 2

If you wish to spray paint the frame, now would be the time to do it

  3. 3

On the back of the frame mark off three spots that are equally spaced which is where you will be placing the rods

  4. 4

Cut the rods to size (using the plastic rods would probably be easiest since they can simply be cut with a razor blade, metal would require a saw of some sort)

  5. 5

Use hot glue to adhere the rods to the BACK of the frame. Keep in mind, it will be best to glue them to the area that is etched out where the glass and backing should have gone NOT on the part of the frame that will lie directly against the wall

  6. 6

Let dry. Then, decorate with hot or super glue and simple embellishments that can be found at your local craft store. I chose to use fabric flowers, dragonfly gems, and letter beads that spell out "Believe in yourself"
