I made these neck warmers last winter when I found out that changing the positions of the buttons of a neck warmer can change the whole pattern! Cool, isn't it? These can also be great for Christmas present. Check out the tutorial and find out how I made'em!

Instructions

  1. Small 105505 2f2014 11 11 141155 20131128 120731

The size of each neck warmer would depend on the users choice and it should fit on you or whoever you're making it for, so don't forget to measure the width and length before cutting the fleece fabric. Sewing the neck warmer is easy. Cut 2 pieces of fleece fabric of exactly the same size.

  2. Small 105505 2f2014 11 11 141312 sew%2bedges

Place one piece on the top of the other one, with both wrong sides facing out. Sew all around the edges but don't forget to keep a small area open because you'll have to turn the right side out.

  3. Small 105505 2f2014 11 11 141403 turn

After turning the right side out, fold the edges of the open side in and sew along the edge.

  4. Small 105505 2f2014 11 11 141434 20131128 122037

Sew along the edge of the open end.

Here are the templates which shows you the position of the buttons and the main pattern of the neck warmer after wearing it. Simply follow the templates and attach the buttons accordingly.

  6. Small 105505 2f2014 11 11 142239 buttons

Follow the template and mark the button position. Use the scissor to cut a small area for the button hole and stitch around the edges of the button hole using thread and needle.

  7. Small 105505 2f2014 11 11 142318 buttns

Now that you'll have the button holes ready, fold the neck warmer to it's actual pattern (just to make sure you place the buttons correctly) and use a pencil or chalk to mark the buttons positions through the button holes. Simply attach the button/ buttons in its place (right below the button hole). Done! wear'em and feel warm and cozy :)
