My Grandma works in a charity shop and has been saving up neck ties for me to make a dress. I finally have enough, so I decided to turn the spare ones in a wreath for our door. I also made a second one for her to say thank you.

Description

My Grandma works in a charity shop and has been saving up neck ties for me to make a dress. I finally have enough, so I decided to turn the spare ones in a wreath for our door. I also made a second one for her to say thank you.

Instructions

  1. Small img 3720

Gather together your neck ties and wreath hoop. You'll need about 12 ties to make this though you may want a few more just to be safe.

  2. Small img 3721

Loop your first tie around the hoop and pin in place. Trim off the excess tie at the back.

  3. Small img 3722

Work your way around, picking patterns that look nice together.

  4. Small img 3723

Keep going until you've covered the entire wreath.

  5. Small img 3724

Carefully sew around the hoop, stitching the ties in place.

  6. Small img 3725

Flip the wreath over and cut off any excess tie.

  7. Small img 3726

Embellish by making a bow out of wired ribbon and stitch at the top of your wreath.

Hang on your door and admire. Well done!
