This nautical "peplum" top is great for summer! Turn any old t-shirt into a really cute wardrobe staple :)
Grab an old t-shirt
Cut in 2 - I cut around 10 inches from bottom. Cut sleeves off and cut a straight neckline.
Place top piece onto lining fabric. Cut around this. Sew the sides of the lining fabric together.
Sew two lines across the top of the bottom piece. This will be the "skirt" part. I did this by hand, but you can just loosen the tension on your sewing machine
Pin the gathered bottom piece onto the top piece. Make sure the top piece is in line with the lining when pinned. Sew.
Pin a line down the bottom of the top. Cut down this line.
Insert zip. Pin and sew.
Turn right side out. Voilà!
