Nautical Jacket

I was stuck for an idea for my friends 18th birthday... then she told me about a certain jacket she had fallen in love with in a museum display which she had taken a photo of. This jacket reminded her of a gorgeous guy in a series of books we both love so much:)
So sprang the idea, I found a pattern that was simmilar (this is more of an inspired by project than a replica) and made it up in navy then found braid which i stitched around the collar and down the front, added buttons and a tag.
I was so pleased with how it worked, espeially since it was my first projet from a pattern! She loved it too:)
