This is a name garland i made for my daughter's door as her unusual name means can't get anything with her name on shop-bought!
Cut out templates for the letters you need. i just used paper for mine. Then use the templates to copy the letters to the fabric. *as i used fleece material i cut out a reverse of the letters for the back*
Once the letters are cut out, embellish with beads, buttons etc.
Now use the ribbon to attatch the fronts of letters together. I put buttons in between each letter at this stage too.
Once the letters are all on the ribbon, use either very thin ribbon or embroidery thread to sew the backs of the letters to the front. *Depending on the size of the letters, you could stuff them but as mine were fairly small i decided against this!*
Hang on the door and you're done!
