I'm actually extremely proud of myself for making this skirt. This is one of the first creations I've made on my sewing machine without a tutorial or a pattern (I rarely use patterns though)!!! I was quite bored so I was on google being random and looking for inspiration and decided that I wanted one of those cool skirts you might see in KERA magazine or something. I ended up stumbling onto a picture in a thread about a Gyaru meetup (quite random) and found a pic of a skirt that a "Jrock Punk Gyaru" would wear and was then hit with the bug o' inspiration! This skirt is quite poofy without the help of a petticoat but seeing as I haven't tried it on with one I wouldn't be able to tell you how much a petticoat can make it poof! It's extremely comfortable and fun to run around and play in and aside from the usual skirt restrictions (i.e. lying down with your legs sprawled open, doing cartwheels, ect...) I have no complaints! Honestly it shouldn't take anyone as long as me to make a skirt like this but seeing as I was preoccupied with other things aside from the skirt and I had to later relocate to finish it I feel like I have a decent excuse.
