Description

Instructions

  1. Small 3760

Sew the sticky side of velcro onto the top left hand corner of a sheet of felt (about a half inch or so from the top and an inch from the side).

  2. Small 3786

Put the matching velcro (soft part) on the sticky part, but leave the tape on!

  3. Small 3787

Put the ipod on the felt again and pin it tightly against the base of the body. Make sure you have the velcro on the INSIDE of the cozy at this point!

  4. Small 3788

    Sew where you pinned it.

  5. Small 3789

Uh-oh, don't panic! If it doesn't fit snugly, just keep sewing it until it does, like I did on the left side.

  6. Small 3790

Cut it out! Make sure you leave a long flap to work with.

  7. Small 3791

Flip it right side out and take the soft velcro off. Make sure your ipod fits well before you continue.

  8. Small 3792

Figure out where you are going to put the soft piece of velcro. This might take a bit of sticking and re-sticking.

  9. Small 3793

Sew the velcro in place and trim the flap so it is rectangular looking. Cut a small hole on the bottom right for the earbud jack.

  10. Small 3794

Feel around the middle of the button. Using a stitch ripper, cut the felt above the button.

  11. Small 3795

Cut a small circle to get a feel of where you actually are seeing as every part of the button is pushable.. turns out I was a little high on estimate, so it's good that I didn't cut a bigger hole.

  12. Small 3796

Cut the hole a little bigger every time, until you get a perfect circle. Okay, it's not perfect, but it doesn't matter, because that's where the teeth go anyways.

  13. Small 3797

Get some other coloured felt and draw a circle a little bigger than the one you cut for the button. This is what you will cut the teeth out of.

  14. Small 3798

Cut out the teeth as close to the circle you drew as possible.

  15. Small 3799

Cut a circle out of another colour of felt to fit over your *teeth*. (I used the base of the serger thread spool in the picture for my circles).

  16. Small 3800

Cut a *mouth* out and place it over top of the teeth.

  17. Small 3801

    Sew it together.

  18. Small 3802

Pause to ask your two year old what it looks like, and then smile when he tells you MOUTH! MONSTER!

  19. Small 3803

    Sew some cute eyes on!

  20. Small 3804

    Add ears if you want.

  21. Small 3805

You get the point. Hand stitch hands and legs to him (or her). I added some angry eyebrows too, as I'm sure you can see. Oh, and the mouth. Can't forge the mouth. Voila. Easy Peasy.
