The owl that I have in the photo is just a suggestion for what to do with all your pieces. There are MANY other options-- swans, dragons, lobsters, pokemon. Just try google imaging it! The second photo is my friend making a swan out of these modules.

The owl that I have in the photo is just a suggestion for what to do with all your pieces. There are MANY other options-- swans, dragons, lobsters, pokemon. Just try google imaging it! The second photo is my friend making a swan out of these modules.

Instructions

  1. Small img 0760 1268777264

Get a square piece of paper! I just cut up printer paper into small squares, about 1.5"

  2. Small img 0761 1268777276

    Cut it in half!

  3. Small img 0762 1268777312

You'll just be using one of those halves now, so put the other aside. Fold that rectangle in half hotdog style

  4. Small img 0763 1268777325

    And then fold that hamburger.

  5. Small img 0765 1268777393

Then, with the folded side on the bottom, fold one of the legs upwards and crease along the hamburger fold line (flip it over and do the same with the other side too)

  6. Small img 0768 1268777545

Unfold along the original hamburger fold line, and press it flat.

  7. Small img 0769 1268777568

Fold the corners of the legs up

  8. Small img 0771 1268777593

And then fold the triangles up along the edge.

  9. Small img 0772 1268777632

Then, fold the triangle in half, with the two triangle side in.

I like to stack my modules by color like this to keep them organized.

  11. To make any circular animal (or any object really!), you'll have to start out with a circle base.

  12. Small img 0777 1268777771

Each module has two pockets and two pointy tips, so you can stick them together, kind of like legos!

  14. Small img 0778 1268777830

Keep going until you have the circle the size you want the bottom of your object to be!

May I suggest an owl? You will need about 100 modules to make one of these. The base has 14 pieces, and starting the row above the base, the tummy starts with 4 pieces, then the row above has 5, then 3, then 2. There's one piece for the beak, and six pieces for the eye shadows, and 8 pieces for the actual eyes. Be creative! =]
