My favorite cousin is having a baby soon and I decided to make this 'Misfits' logo plushie for the baby instead of buying a regular stuffed animal. The baby's father loves the band and has been trying to find baby clothing with the logo on it but is having a hard time. I decided to make a baby present both my new little cousin and his father will love! The only problem with this project is that I love the band as well and the plushie turned out so nice that I want to keep it for myself ;) Since mine is for a baby I decided to add a little plastic container full of rice to the inside of mine to make the plushie a big soft rattle but if yours isn't for a baby (which I'm guessing it won't be) you don't need to add this. This is my first How-to so I hope it's clear and you like it... Enjoy! PS: Sorry about the small amount of photos, I made the plushie before the tutorial. If I make another one I will take tons of pictures of all the steps. Also, sorry about the bad picture quality, I had to take it with my laptop webcam because my camera died on me.

Print or trace the Misfits logo template on regular paper. I brought up the picture and traced it on a piece of paper using a pencil instead of printing it out but you can do whatever you like. Click on the thumbnail to enlarge the picture and then right click the picture. Save the picture and open it using the program of your choice (the free paint program or Microsoft Word works) and size it however you like it. I sized mine so that the template covered a whole regular printer paper.
Cut out the image following the outside of the black lines. The pieces of the template marked as 'white' are large solid pieces that you need to keep. The areas marked as 'black' should be hollow; you don't need a template of these pieces. You should end up with two large pieces: one of the forehead/cheekbones and one of the chin, you should also have the smaller pieces which are the teeth and the little eyes.
Trace your template on the white felt and cut out.
Place your white pieces in the middle of one piece of black felt where you want them to end up once the plushie is done (ei, place the face in order the way it looks in the template) and pin them down. Once your pieces are in place trace approx. one inch around the entire face so that you have a one inch overlap of black fabric.
These tracings are now the dimensions you want of black felt. Cut out two identical pieces of black felt following the lines you drew. Don't worry if it's a little rough! The entire logo is rough and it will add character.
Put aside the extra peice of black felt and sew on the face peices where they are pinned down. I used black embroidery floss for this so that the stitched would be visible and "frankenstein-ish". You can always use white floss if you want to give it a more soft and polished look.
Once all the peices of the face have been placed and sewn on (that part is the most time consuming because the peices are small and oddly shaped) place the two peices of black felt together and sew almost all the way around, leaving a gap for stuffing. I didn't turn the plushie inside out before sewing because I wanted to be able to see the stitching, but if you want yours to be invisible then you should place the side of the black fabric with the face sewn on on the inside before sewing. You would then have to turn it rightside out to stuff. I stitched mine together using white embroidery floss so that the stitches would really stand out. I used a blanket stitch. Stuff the plushie with Polyfill, or any other soft stuffing you have. Now stitch up the gap! You're all done!
