You Will Need (5 things)

  • PVA Glue
  • 2 different designs of Decorative Paper
  • 1 A Pack Of Cards
  • Card
  • Plain Paper

Steps (11 steps, 90 minutes)

  1. 1

First of all arrange your cards in the order you wish and put an elastic band around them, or clip. Ensure you know which side will be your spine.

  2. 2

Add a small amount of pva glue to the spine, and spread so there is a thin layer. Leave to dry for a few minutes and remove band when fully dry.

(sorry about the lines on this photos)

  3. 3

Add a small piece of paper the same width as your stack of cards, to the spine and allow to dry.

  4. 4

Using your cards as a guide, cut a front page and back page from some of the decorative paper. These need to be double, so cut the paper double the size and fold in half.

  5. 5

With the decoration on the inside glue one of the pages to the first card (fold on the same side as spine) and one on the back.

  6. 6

Cut 2 piece of card the same size as your cards, and one piece the same size as your spine.

As you can see I used the box that my cards came out of to do this.

  7. 7

Stick these pieces next to each other (with no gaps)on the back of your decorative paper. If you want your spine cover to bow like it does in some books then curve it around a pencil.

  8. 8

Cut small triangles into each side of the corner.

  9. 9

    Stick the corners down first.

  10. 10

Then stick down the edges. Do opposites together. So shorts and then longs or visa versa.

  11. 11

With the front page still free spread glue all over it and stick it to the inside of the front cover. Do the same to the back page and voila!!
