You Will Need

Step 1Preheat the oven to 200 Degrees Celsius
The cut the short crust pastry into small chunks approximately 1.5 x 1.5 cm each, and roll into a ball.

Step 2Press the balls of pastry into the mini tartlet tin with either a tartlet shaper or the end of a small rolling pin.

Step 3Chop up the apple into small chunks, then mix with the apple sauce and the cinnamon.
Note - add the cinnamon slowly to adjust to your taste!

Step 4Carefully place the apple mixture into the pastry.
Rub the butter, flour and sugar together to form the crumble topping. Then carefully cover each tartlet with the crumble topping.

Step 5Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Then allow to cool and enjoy!

Step 6Note - this can easily be done with other fruits
For example, here are some cherry crumbles which use a single dark cherry (de-stoned) with a little cherry jam. The possibilities are endless!
