Step 1Start by painting you nails with the metallic gold nail polish.

Step 2Apply the mattifying top coat. I used Picture Polish g'day matte, but other brands include OPI Matte Top coat and Essie Matte about you.

Step 3Get your foil glue and gold foil strips ready.

Step 4Apply a thin layer of nail foil glue just to the french tip of your nail.
When it's first applied it will have a milky appearance. Wait about 5 minutes for it to dry and ensure it has gone completely transparent.

Step 5Gently press the nail art foil onto the glue with the gold side up. The foil will stick to the glue and the clear backing film will pull away.

Step 6Repeat on each nail.
Apply a nail foil sealer to just the tips of your nails. I use Picture Polish Revolution. Water based top coats work best, regular top coats can cause the foil to crease.

Step 7Admire your work.
