I made this for a swap on Craftster and it was so simple and easy that I thought I should share it. Anyone can make it into whatever kind of stuffie or animal or favorite character they want. I will just include info on how I attached the pillow inside and stuffed around it.

Description

I made this for a swap on Craftster and it was so simple and easy that I thought I should share it. Anyone can make it into whatever kind of stuffie or animal or favorite character they want. I will just include info on how I attached the pillow inside and stuffed around it.

Instructions

  1. Cut out whatever shape you want for your pillow/stuffie, as long as its bigger than the iPod pillow. Make sure there are two pieces, a front and a back.

  2. Make a face for it (if this is what you want) using the felt pieces. Sew them onto the front of one of your pieces to make the face or even name or image you want to create.

  3. Before sewing the two pieces together, hand sew the iPod pillow directly underneath the face or image that you have sewn onto one of the pieces. This way you are lying right on the speaker as intended.

  4. Attach a pocket on the side for the cords from iPod pillow to hide inside. This way the stuffing does not fall out also. While using a zipper and some scrap fabric you have (can match the pillow if you want) just sew the two pieces of fabric and zipper to the two pieces for the pillow where you want it to go. I placed mine directly across from the zippered pouch on the iPod pillow itself so the cords won't be stretched too far.

  5. Now you can sew all the way around your new pillow/stuffie, making sure to attach the edges of the zippered pouch as securely as you can.

  6. Before sewing the zippered pouch together, use this hole to stuff the pillow/stuffie. Make sure to make it as puffy as you want and not to put stuffing between the iPod pillow and the fabric of your pillow or stuffie.

  7. Now just handsew up the pocket edges, making sure you secure the cording into the pocket. Just sew around it a couple of times so that it won't fall into the stuffie/pillow. I also included the pocket for the convenience of using the volume control that was included with the iPod pillow that I bought. If you do not care, you can just simply take out the pocket idea and just make sure to secure the cord to attach your iPod or mp3 player to the speaker outside the pillow/stuffie.

  8. And hopefully with no confusion on my part, you have yourself a personalized iPod pillow/stuffie to cuddle with. Any questions, feel free to email me.
