The picture of the result is NOT mine! I forgot to take a picture of the final result, so I google'd a picture. - I'm sorry if there are any spelling mistakes in this how-to, but I'm Dutch. I don't know all words, so I use google, and it sucks.

The picture of the result is NOT mine! I forgot to take a picture of the final result, so I google'd a picture. - I'm sorry if there are any spelling mistakes in this how-to, but I'm Dutch. I don't know all words, so I use google, and it sucks.

Instructions

  1. Small ei 1299244487

You're gonna need 200 gram peeled almonds 250 gram powdered sugar 1 egg-white Some drops of lemon juice, or something else to flavour it. You might want to add food colouring too. I haven't tried that yet, but i read that it's better to have a paste, instead of liquid food colouring.

Get all the things you need.

  3. Small img 0086 1299244597

You're gonna need 3 bowls, one for the almonds, one for the powdered sugar, and one for the egg. You're gonna need something else to chop the almonds in TINY pieces, and you can see the rest :)

  4. Small img 0088 1299244677

Mix the almonds in TINY pieces.

Since I killed my mixer during the last step, I used this thing. If you use this, be aware of the almonds flying around. I put a towel over the bowl while mixing, so that they'll fall right back into the bowl.

Add the powdered sugar, the egg-white, and some drops of lemon juice, or whatever you want to use. Form the paste to a roll now, and put aluminium foil or plastic wrap around it. I used plastic wrap. Let it rest in the fridge for 24 hours. NOW you can colour the marzipan, if you want it. When it's done you can best keep it OUTSIDE the fridge. It stays good for 7 months that way. Keep it in a plastic bag or so, in a (sealed) container.
