Hello =) sometime ago i've been searching for a tutorial on how to make a beaded Dalek, but had no luck with it, so I ended up doing one myself. And here is he tutorial how you can make one yourself :D (the fashionable dalek is copyrighted to whoever came up with this crazy idea first on dA LOL)
Hello =) sometime ago i've been searching for a tutorial on how to make a beaded Dalek, but had no luck with it, so I ended up doing one myself. And here is he tutorial how you can make one yourself :D (the fashionable dalek is copyrighted to whoever came up with this crazy idea first on dA LOL)
So, for starters, here are all the stuff you'll need
First thing is the head. Cut some line (~1m) and start beading with the color you chose for your dalek

For the next step you can go two ways: you can do the whole body first than add the other pieces or you can add them as you go with the body I'm going with the latter, so here you can see how to attach it to the head. To finish it tie a know and lead the remaining line back into the inside space of the body
That's how it should look
Go on from the head with the neck (it's black)
With neck =)
Now you have to add the "ears" and the "arms". The arms will be in the second row of the neck,in the front as seen here. I used glue with the lines at the ears

Now start the body. If the picture doesn't make sense than it's not your fault, so here is how to do it: first it's 5 beads in the front, than 5 in the back, next row 6 in the front 5 in the back. You go on till it's 10 in the front (the back remains 5 beads all along)
It should look something like this
For the last part part of the body you have to add a last row, 10 front 5 back but with black beads, lead one of the lines trough the 10 beads in the front again so you could tie it off. You put a flitter (sorry but I couldn't find out what it is in english DDDDx ) than a big black bead, 6 normal of the color you chose, 2 black ones and 2 your-choice on the head pin. You put it inside the body so the pin's end comes through the head. Here you curve the end. To finish it off, glue the flitter to the bottom row of the body, so your dalek has a nice dalek-y shape.
Now you can create your own army of Daleks and take over the world (and hope the Doctor will come and stop you LOL) |3
