You know what the punishment for stealing boots is. Yeah, it's poots....on newts!!
Please note I am not trying to steal anyones ideas. I have watched videos on how to set eyeliner and this is just how I do mine. I'm not saying that all these ideas are mine and mine alone. I'm just showing everyone how I do this.

The eyeliner I have is Covergirl Perfect Point Plus and the little brush I actually got from the Maybelline Eye studio gel liner.

P.S. If you have contacts or sensitive eyes, you probably don't want to do this.

  • How to create a bold eyeliner look. Make Your Eyeliner Last All Day - Step 1
    Step 1

    Gather your supplies.

  • Step 2

Okay first you need to get a cotton swab and twist it between your fingers so there is no little strands sticking out.

  • How to create a bold eyeliner look. Make Your Eyeliner Last All Day - Step 3
    Step 3

Now run it over your waterline. This just gets rid of the water, moisture, whatever you want to call it, that is probably on your waterline.

  • How to create a bold eyeliner look. Make Your Eyeliner Last All Day - Step 4
    Step 4

Put on your eyeliner like normal.

  • How to create a bold eyeliner look. Make Your Eyeliner Last All Day - Step 5
    Step 5

Now get a little brush. As I said in the summary, mine is from the Maybelline Eye studio gel liner.

  • How to create a bold eyeliner look. Make Your Eyeliner Last All Day - Step 6
    Step 6

Take a plain black eyeshadow. NO GLITTER!!! If you use a glitter eyeshadow it may get into your eyes. Not good!

  • How to create a bold eyeliner look. Make Your Eyeliner Last All Day - Step 7
    Step 7

Swish your brush back and forth over the eyeshadow. Now tap, tap, TAP! You need to get all the excess eyeshadow off or else it will go in your eye. Now just dab it on your waterline. I only do a third at a time. Going back for more eyeshadow in between.

  • Step 8

Now your eyeliner will last all day!!

I don't think that will happen. I've done it quite a bit and nothing went wrong. You just have to be careful with getting all the excess eyeshadow off the brush because if you don't then some flecks might get into your eye.

Oh wow! I LOVE this tutorial! It's really just common sense to wipe the excess moisture from your waterline, but I would've never thought of it! Thanks!

@ olivia: Mascara on the waterline? O_____O

Well, this might be a nice idea but I actually prefer letting my waterline do what it's supposed to do - which is, helping to keep the eye clean - and put new eyeliner on every once in a while...

You should!! It works really well. I wake up the next morning with some eyeliner still on.
