Magazine Wallet
Sew a unique wallet out of magazine pages.

This is such a simple idea and you can use it with all sorts of magazine pages, newspaper, photographs or images.

You Will Need (5 things)
- Popper Buttons
- Hammer
- Bright Thread
- Magazine or newspaper
- Sewing Machine
Steps (17 steps, 40 minutes)

Rip a couple of interesting pages out of a magazine or newspaper.

Glue two pages together, so that the good side is facing out.

Trim around the edges to make sure they're the same size.

Cover both sides with a sheet of sticky back plastic.

Cut two strips of paper which are about 1.5" thick and a third the height of your wallet.

Fold in half and then fold each half down, to create an accordion shape like this.

Lay flat and cover each side with sticky back plastic.

Sew around the outside of your wallet.

Use a decorative zig-zag stitch and bright thread to give the wallet an interesting edge.

Tape the accordion paper to the bottom edge of your wallet, so that the nicest side if facing out.

Stitch in place using a normal straight stitch. Repeat with the other side.

Flip over and carefully stitch to the back of the wallet. Repeat with the other side.

Your wallet should now have a nice little pocket like this.

Stitch a straight line along the bottom edge of the wallet.

Trim around the edges to remove any excess sticky back plastic.

Hammer each side of a stud button in to the flap and underside of your wallet.
