Just went to Michaels today because I had a gift card. I got soap colorants, essential oils, and a mold! (As well as a pretty couture designed box to store everything in, which was on sale).
I didn't use the colorants for this project, because the cinnamon creates the pink color.
Yield: 3, 2oz bars.
or 2, 3oz bars.
makes 6oz.

You Will Need (6 things)
- 5 drop Essential Oil (Of Your Choice)
- Old Soap Bar Or Bar Pieces
- Soap Molds (mine is from michaels)
- 1 cup Coconut Oil (pure, nothing for cooking. mine is from spectrum)
- 2 tsp stick or powder Cinnamon (for colorant)
- 1 oz melt and pour Glycerin
Steps (6 steps, 45 minutes)
-
1
Take your soap bar and grate it (3/4 of a bar or about 3.5 oz of soap pieces).
This works best when it has been sitting in water for a good amount of time.Put this into a good sized pot which has a little under 1/2 cup of water boiling in it.
-
2
Add the glycerin after the soap is a liquid/paste (it depends on the soap you use and how much water you put and the temperature of the water)
-
3
Take a smaller pan and add the cinnamon with 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil, then let steep off of heat for 10 minutes.
****This is a colorant. If you do not want the soap to be a pastel pink, you may omit this step all together.****

While the cinnamon mixture is happening, take 1/8 cup of coconut oil and place into the soap/glycerin mixture. Lower heat to medium if you have not already done so.
-
5
Add essential oil, and the cinnamon water (which has been strained to get rid of the powder/particles).

Pour into molds and enjoy! :D
