Trace & Cut out your letters from a cereal box. Also cut out two strips for either end of the sign.
Paint everything with a solid coat of silver paint.
Use a dry brush method to paint on a layer of black paint. Continue dry brushing layers of silver and black paint until you get the desired metal look.
Attach the cardboard pieces to the wood sign with hot glue. Add some silver thumbtacks to the strips so they look like they are bolted to the sign.
