• 

  Step 1

  Roll out the air drying modelling clay and cut out teeny tiny love hearts with a cookie cutter.

• 

  Step 2

  If you don't have a cookie cutter in that shape or size, get out a pencil with the metal bit at the end. Remove the eraser and then proceed to shape the metal with plies and a push pin into the desired heart shape.

• 

  Step 3

  Let dry for 24 hours, then proceed to file the hearts with a nail file to give them a smoother finish. Then paint them with acrylic paint.

  Step 4

  I liked to add a gold rim to the colored hearts.

• 

  Step 5

  Since the hearts are rather small, I used tweezers to help me lift them from the parchment paper whilst painting.

• 

  Step 6

  Since the paint dries really quickly on the clay, you can soon glue the hearts onto some golden earring posts.
