After watching the Lord of the Rings for the millionth time, I really wanted to make myself something and I thought that this would be a brilliant and quirky addition to my accessories.
After watching the Lord of the Rings for the millionth time, I really wanted to make myself something and I thought that this would be a brilliant and quirky addition to my accessories.
Here's what you need. It's not much you need and you can always use different colours if you want to personalise it more.
I hand drew a template after searching the Internet for the leaf. Cut out 2 leaf shapes.
On one sew the brooch back onto it. On the other, sew on the skeleton of a leaf using white thread. Make sure that when you do sew these on, that you can fit both sides together on top of each other.
Put both sides together and use pins if you want so they don't move. Sew all around the outside in green thread.
Finished! You can pretend you are one of the members of the Fellowship and use it on the top of your cardigan or you can use it as a simple brooch. Enjoy!
