About

Everyone loves lollies, but this fun gift is more about their playful wearable aspect than just handing over a bag of candy.

You Will Need (8 things)

  • Fabric
  • Lollies (candy/sweets)
  • String
  • Ribbons
  • Charm(s)
  • Tulle and cellophane
  • Beads and Fake Flowers
  • Scissors and Pinking Shears

Steps (4 steps, 20 minutes)

  1. 1

Cut squares of fabric slightly bigger than the lollies. Be sure to leave enough room to wrap the lolly in the fabric
and also enough room at each end to tie the wrapper closed.

  2. 2

Roll a lolly in fabric and tie the ends with string. Don’t trim off the ends of the string yet, as you’ll need them later.
Repeat this step with each of the lollies. If you have any tulle, or perhaps some cellophane, you can also wrap some lollies in this.

  3. 3

Arrange all of the wrapped lollies in a necklace shape on a flat surface and decide which colours will go where to make your necklace layout. Once you have decided the positioning of each lolly it’s time to start tying each lolly onto another piece of string. The string should be long enough to fit all of the lollies on it. Simply tie both ends of each lolly to the longer piece of string, using the tails of string from the wrapping. If you want to add some beads to the necklace, thread them onto the string as you go. Repeat this technique until you have tied all of the lollies onto your necklace string.

  4. 4

Next you can add some charms, ribbons or fake flower decorations to the necklace by simply tying them on. To finish
off, tie a length of ribbon (I’ve used two different types on this necklace) to the ends of the necklace string and the lolly necklace is good to go: yay!
