multilayered Lolita skirt with sewn in petticoat (cutsew/reconstructed)
This took so long too make bcuz I sewed everything by hand but I think it came out beautifully! I took several old pieces/clothes out of my closet that didn't fit anymore or just weren't my style and combined them into a sweet creation!
I love tons of layers! I started with the white a line skirt which will be the petticoat. It was a little big so I deconstructed it and pulled out all the old stitches and completely took out the back zipper and waistband. I took an old gray sweater and cut off the bottom hemming for my new waistband. Next I deconstructed an old flannel sundress, I took off the skirt, gathered and sewed it onto the new waistband along with my white petticoat. The final front panel of fabric was sewed on last from a deconstructed nice dress skirt with velvet like patterns flocked on it. After putting it all together and adding elastic to the waistband I started working on adding the final details. I used some nice white lace for the hem. I cut out a huge heart from some white lace fabric and appliqued it to the front panel of fabric. Last but not least I added several cute ribbon bows to the heart applique.
