Instructions

  1. Directions: CO 12(16) stitches on DPN’s. Join in the round. Be careful not to twist stitches. Place marker between stitch 1 and 2 on first needle. For size small cast on 4 stitches over three needles. For size medium cast 6 stitches on needle 1, 6 stitches on needle 2 and 4 stitches on needle 3. Cuff: *K1, P1; repeat from * to end of round. Repeat until work measures 2.5”. Knit for 2(3) rounds. Next row: *K3(4), LLI; repeat from * to end of round. 16 (20) sts.

  2. Thumb Gusset: Row 1: K1, SM, K1, PM, k to end. Row 2: K to M, SM, LLI, K1, RIL, SM, K to end. (3 sts between markers) For S/M knit 1 row. For M/L knit 2 rows. Next Row: K to M, SM, LLI, K3, RLI, SM, K to end. (5 sts between markers) For S/M knit 1 row. For M/L knit 2 rows. Next Row: K1, SM, sl next 5 sts on to stitch holder, remove marker, knit to end of round. 15(19) sts. Knit until piece fits to end of your pinkie finger, or approximately 8(9)” from cast on edge. Start decreases. Next Row: *K3, k2tog; rep from * 2 more times, knit to end of row. 12(16) sts. Knit 1 row. Next R: *K2, k2tog; rep from * to end of round. 9(12) sts. Knit 1 row. Next R: *K1, k2tog; rep from * to end of round. 6(8) sts. Break yarn and with darning needle pull through remaining sts. Weave in ends

  3. Thumb: Slip stitches on holder onto needles. Pick up and knit 5 sts in gap. 10 sts. Next R: K2tog, k until 2 sts are left in round, K2tog. 8sts. Knit until piece comes to tip of thumb. K2tog around. Break yarn and pull through remaining sts. Weave in ends.

    Left Lifted Leaning Increase (LL1) Step 1: Insert your right needle from back to front underneath the second stitch below.

    Right Lifted Leaning Increase (RL1) Use your right needle to pull the stitch one row below the first stitch on your left needle.
